It is located in Bakerganj upazila. Kalsakathi is an ancient town. Thirteen zamindars live in Kalsakathi. In fact, the history of Kalsakathi is the history of zamindari. In the early 1700s, zamindar Janaki Vallabh Roy Chowdhury established Kalaskathi. Earlier it was called Kalsakathi; Kalsakathi is a distorted Kalsakathi.

Janaki Vallabh Roy Chowdhury was the son of Ramakanta, the zamindar of Garuria. Janaki Vallabh Roy Chowdhury was two brothers. Elder brother Ram Vallabh. Ram Vallabh plotted to assassinate Janaki Vallabh. Janaki Vallabh came to know about the murder through his wife and left Garuria at night and went to Murshidabad. There he told all the facts to the Nawab and the Nawab appointed him as the zamindar of Arangpur Pargana. Janaki Vallabh had a lease as far as the ebb. After getting zamindari, he came to Kalsakathi and settled there. The thirteen zamindars of Kalsakathi were originally descendants of Janaki Vallabh.

The manor house has been here for more than three hundred years. This manor house still stands as a solid structural foundation, but now undoubtedly demands renovation. I heard from the people of the house about their economic plight. Again, there is no official vision. It is said that thirteen zamindars lived here.

In fact, Kalsakathi is not called a separate zamindar's house, it is a complete ancient city. Much like the Panam Nagar of Sonargaon. Here the zamindar houses are scattered. There is another old house next to the main zamindar's house. Most of the Hindus live here.

This house is also dilapidated due to lack of renovation. The temple with a large courtyard in front. The temple still has a hundred-year-old precious constellation. The idol of the goddess has been covered with cloth inside the temple for fear of theft. There is a small altar in front of the temple. Animals are sacrificed here during Pujo. The traditional Jagaddatri Puja is celebrated here in November-December every year. Although the biggest Durga Puja is not a joyous festival in Kalsakathi, around this puja Kalsakathi becomes a gathering place for millions of people. People from far-flung villages come to take part in this puja. Which may not be believed without seeing it with the naked eye.
